The KCB Corporate golf day at Muthaiga came to a dramatic close on Saturdayevening attracting a strong field of 250 golfers. Kimani Muhoro was the overall winner of the tournament while Shan Dan emerged the lady winner.
KCB Group HR Director Paul Russo lauded the golfers for a great outing adding that KCB will continue to sponsor golf events to hone the skills of local golfers.
“As a Bank we continue to sponsor corporate golf because we believe that the avenue is the cornerstone of developing golf talent in the country”, said Russo.
The golf outing held on Saturday 3 June 2017 saw handicap 14 Muhoro make a come back after scratching hole 3 to play an impressive 15 points in the 1st nine followed by 21 points in the back nine for a total of 36 points.
“I am surprised by today’s victory, I just went out to give my all at the KCB event and by God’s grace I am the champion”, said an excited Muhoro.
Antony Kimani Muhoro sank two birdies on holes 10 and 13 signing off with 3 pars on holes 16, 17 and 18.
Joseph Kagigite emerged the men’s runner up followed by John Muhinja who carded 36 points respectively.
Lady luck smiled on Handicap 31 Shan Dan who emerged the lady winner during yesterday’s tournament shocking most seasoned lady golfers. Samira Furrer a handicap 16 was the lady runner up. Patrick Mbagaya emerged the staff winner while Sonaar Shah won the nearest to the pin. Rose Koome and Bo Ciera won the longest drive for lady and men respectively.
The glorious outing saw Cyllus Onyango emerge the guest winner, Zubair Khan the junior winner while Martin Mutura was awarded for the best effort.
