CS Matiang’i leads his Ministry to monitor the conduct of 2017 KCPE examinations

The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Dr. Fred Matiang’i, today led some of his colleagues and top leadership in the Ministry to monitor the conduct of the 2017 KCPE examinations which started today and ends on Thursday.


Dr. Matiang’i travelled to Wote Town in Makueni Sub County where he witnessed the opening of containers at 6.00am, and is currently visiting a number of primary schools in the County to monitor candidate sitting for the examinations.


His counterparts, Mr. Joe Mucheru of Information Communication and Technology was in Nyeri town and Sicily Kariuki c of Public Service, Youth & Gender Affairs was in Kiambu County.


The Chief Executive Officer, Teachers Service Commission, (TSC), Nancy Macharia, was in Isinya Sub County in Kajiado County for a similar exercise.


The Chairman of KNEC Prof. George Magoha and Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), Dr. Julius Jwan were in Migori and Homa Bay Counties respectably.
