Cabinet Secretary for Education Amb. (Dr) Amina Mohammed has said that the Government will provide 100 million shillings to commence the construction and expansion of Mama Ngina girl’s high school in Mombasa.
The CS announced that the Government has allocated 20 acres piece of land in Shimo la Tewa to aid the relocation of the girl’s school which was currently struggling with the ecosystem and facing inadequate space for expansion. ‘The decision by the Ministry to relocate the institution is to provide adequate accommodation for the girls and the transition will be done in an orderly manner so as not to disrupt learning” said the Cabinet Secretary.
Amb. Amina also stated that the Government would provide 20 computers to enhance capacity building in ICT for both teachers and learners. The CS spoke during her visit to the school to assess the extent to which the school is challenged with space.
