​ KCB road to the Masters Series is underway at Limuru Golf Club

The 2nd round of the KCB road to the masters takes place at the par 72 Limuru Country Club. Over 220 golfers will be taking part in the event that will see six selected winners grab tickets to the prestigious KCB Karen Master Pro-Am tournament.
The huge field of golfers has attracted sports journalist, Tony Kwalanda, budding golfers, Mutahi Mureithi, James Makau who will be playing alongside Club Captain Jeff Macharia.

“We are very much excited to have a huge field of golfers for the KCB road to the Masters, the course is challenging but we are looking at the making of new stars in the game, said the Captain.”

At least 20 staff golfers are lined up for the weekend showdown including, KCB Group HR Director Paul Russo, Group CFO Lawrence Kimathi, Finance Director Sam Munyua and Peter Mwaura, Corporate and Communications Manager.

KCB Group Marketing and Communications Director Angela Mwirigi says the bank is committed to nurturing golf talent around the country. “ This golf series presents the greatest opportunity for any golfer and we are excited as KCB to increase our participation at this years event, we envisage to give hundreds of golfers an opportunity of playing alongside Sunshine Tour top golfers.”

The overall winner, men’s winner, guest winner, staff winner, lady winner and one wild card winner will get an automatic slot of playing the KCB Karen Masters that tees off at the Par 72 Karen Country Club in July.

The KCB Karen Masters will be launched officially on the 30th of May 2018 at the Karen Country Club.
