1st Round of this year’s KCB Simba Autocross Championship series kicks off in Mai- Mahiu

The 1st Round of this year’s KCB Simba Autocross Championship series is underway in Mai- Mahiu at the TGVR circuit. 22 drivers  were flagged off by KCB Bank Kenya Naivasha Branch Manager Mr. Eric Supriano this Sunday Morning.

“As a Bank, we are delighted to have kicked off this year’s KCB Simba Autocross championship series here at Mai-Mahiu. Over the last two years we have witnessed massive growth in the sport.We hope to achieve excellence in the KCB Autocross Championship,  Said Mr. Supriano

 KCB Mai-Mahiu Autocross has attracted 22 entries in the  following classes: Peewee class2, Bambino class 3, 2WD Non Turbo, 2WD Turbo 5, 4 WD Turbo 2, open class 4 and quad class 1.

In the 2WD NT category will see  Safina Khan Sahir Mughal and Rajveer Thethy face off for top honours. In the (4 WDT) category  we have Rehan Shah,Ken Ntere as well as last year’s 4WDT Winner Sahib Omar are in contention for top glory.

Sahib Omar is beaming with confidence in today’s outing adding that should all go planned, he should finish today at the podium and set the pace for the other rounds to come.

“ I am overly excited to see KCB Bank Kenya sponsor us this year. This will reignite the spirit of competition,” Said Omar.

Imran Hakada from Izmir Racing  put up a very good performance in last year’s Championship series in 2WDT category. He is expected to boost His  team’s performance as he also competes in this year’s Open class category alongside  Shalien Mughal.
