Top county leaders in Nakuru have differed over plans to make the County’s headquarters a city.
A section of leaders led by Senator Susan Kihika have argued that the process still need time for adequate preparedness saying that the process should be delayed for another ten years.
But County governor Lee Kinyanjui argued that the process was crucial as wit will uplift the town’s status and hence unlock Nakuru’s economic potential.
On Monday, elected MPs, County Senator and Women representative issued a memorandum seeking the process to be delayed so as to pave way for adequate planning.
