Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has moved to court seeking to overturn an earlier ruling that barred him from accessing his office.
The court last week ordered that Mr. Waititu stays away from office pending the concussion of a case against him over corruption allegations.
However, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has opposed the application, stating that the Kiambu governor should stay away from office as earlier directed.
Over the weekend, Mr Waititu inspected projects in the county and insisted that he is still in charge and will execute his duties.
