KWS asked to probe abnormal Elephant migration

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has been asked to probe the cause of the abnormal Elephant migration that has been witnessed in various parts of Baringo and Laikipia Counties.

According to Gilbert Tallam the Game ranger at Lake Kapnarok Geme reserve, the migration could be as a result of disturbance of the animals at their natural habitat – which has forced them to migrate in search of better habitats.

One person is currently recuperating at Kabarnet County Referral Hospital following injuries he sustained after being attacked by an Elephant at Tanyilel, Baringo County.
