President Kenyatta makes major cabinet reshuffle, sacks Mwangi Kiunjuri

President Uhuru Kenyatta has reshuffled the cabinet in his major changes that have seen Mwangi Kiunjuri and Aden Mohammed fired from cabinet.

In the changes, the president appointed Mutahi Kagwe as Health Cabinet Secretary, Betty Maina CS trade, Rachel Omamo CS Foreign Affairs, Sicily Kariuki – CS Water, Irrigation, Peter Munya CS Agriculture, Monica Juma CS Defence, Simion Chelughui CS Labour and Ukur Yatani CS Treasury.

President Kenyatta said political power pursued for its own sake will not make Kenya a great nation saying politics must be used to address the plight of the most vulnerable members of our society.
