Kenyan man facing death penalty in the United States

A 47-year-old Kenyan man is facing a possible death sentence over the killing of 22 elderly Women in Texas, United States.

Billy Chemirmir, who was born in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County relocated to the United States in the ’90s has been indicted on capital murder charges and if found guilty, could face the death penalty.

Chemirmir was arrested by US detectives while trying to sell a gold chain he had stolen from a home after suffocating the owner, an elderly woman with a pillow.

Initially, most of Chemirmir’s victims were initially thought to have died of natural causes but after the 47-year-old’s arrest, it emerged that there was evidence linking the Kenyan to the deaths.
