Government suspends flights from Northern Italy over Corona Virus fears

The government has suspended direct flights from Verona and Milan in Italy following reports of a case of Corona Virus in Northern Italy.

Newly appointed Health Cabinet Secretary said that a National Emergency Response Committee on Corona Virus (NERCC) suspended the flights which normally frequent coastal Kenya as a measure to prevent the deadly virus from entering the country.

Already, six Coronavirus cases have been reported across the continent including Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, and Tunisia.

Three cases have been reported in Algeria and two in Egypt.

The government has come under criticism after 239 passengers aboard a China Southern Airlines from Guangzhou – which has reported most cases of infections landed in the country on February 27th.
