MPs allied to DP Ruto vow to stop impeachment motion

Members of Parliament allied to Deputy President William Ruto have said that any attempts to impeach DP Ruto will not succeed.

The MPs said that they have enough numbers to ensure the planned impeachment motion will not see the light of day.

“If ODM has two options and one of them being DP Ruto resigning, take it from me that William Ruto is not resigning because he is not anybody’s appointee. He was elected on the ballot,” Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria said.

He added that the president should reshuffle the government and include former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his Cabinet as chief minister if he indeed wants to work with him.

“If he wants to bring Raila Odinga as a chief minister let him do so, instead of all these shenanigans. We are ready for early elections; we are ready for the government to be dissolved.”
