Kenyans urged to support government’s efforts to combat coronavirus

Kenya has been urged to support the government’s efforts in combating the spread of the coronavirus that has so far claimed 13000 lives and infected over 30000 people across the world.

Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe who spoke with medics in Wuhan China and France via video conference on ways to combat the spread of the disease. Kenya has already confirmed seven case.

“This disease is global in nature and therefore the solution to the disease is also global in nature and the advice you are giving us is the advice we are giving our people, we are telling them to observe very serious hygiene levels, we are telling them about handwashing, we are telling them about the social distancing,” he said after the video conference, the second since last week.

Kenya and the rest of the world are trying to learn from China, which has brought cases to zero, after implementing tough measures.
