Two patients who had previously tested positive to coronavirus have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi.
This comes a day after another patient succumbed to covid-19 related complications at the same hospital, making the first fatality since the first case was announced in the country.
On Friday, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said that Nairobi County had recorded the highest number of Coronavirus cases countrywide but stated that the number of cases stands at 30 after one patient died.
He added that a South African national who died at a Nakuru hospital died of causes not related to covid-19.
“We have been informed that a South African national in quarantine in Nakuru has passed away in circumstances that do not seem related to the disease. Police investigating the matter & further info will be communicated,” he said.
Kagwe further asked Kenyans to observe the dusk-to-dawn curfew ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday which takes effect today.
