Kenyans want countrywide lockdown – study

The latest study by Infotrack has shown that a majority of Kenyans want the government to enforce a countrywide lockdown for two weeks in order to deal with the COVID-19 virus.

The report, which was conducted between March 30th and April 2nd shows that Kenyans want the government to focus more on food security as among key measures to battle the coronavirus.

Already, Kenya has confirmed 142 cases and four deaths from the virus which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

However, the report reveals that “35 percent of Kenyans are not at all prepared to handle the lockdown should it happen.”
