Kenya now registers 1348 coronavirus cases

Kenya on Tuesday registered a total of 1348 coronavirus cases after 62 more people tested positive within a period of 24 hours.

Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefings, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman said out of the 62, 59 are Kenyans while 3 are foreigners.

“Of the new cases 45 male while 17 are female, in terms of age they range from 6 years to the youngest and 64 years for the oldest,” he stated.
He further said that Nairobi and Mombasa recorded 23 and 16 cases respectively with the other cases being spread across the counties of Kwale (8), Kiambu (6), Kajiado (6) and Kitui (3).

To date Kenya has tested a total of 64,264 samples, recorded 405 recoveries, and 52 fatalities.
