Number of coronavirus cases in Kenya rise to 1618 after 147 more test positive

The number of coronavirus cases in the country have risen to 1618 after 147 more people tested positive.

Speaking in Kiambu County in Tuesday, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe howevwe said that 13 patients have been released bringing total number of recoveries to 421 while three more have succumbed to the disease, one from Kiambu County and two from Mombasa County who had underlying issues.

Kagwe also urged Kenyans not to stigmatize people who have been diagnosed with the virus.

“We need to care for the sick and welcome them back into society after they turn negative,” urged CS Kagwe.
