Kalonzo calls for caution on re-opening the economy

As Kenyans eagerly await President Uhuru Kenyattas address to the Nation on the new measures the Government will take or ease in an effort to gradually reopen the economy, Wiper Democratic Movement Leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka is urging for serious caution.

The Wiper leader is urging the President to seek every expert opinion on whether to ease or remove altogether with the measures the government has been undertaking to contain the spread of COVID 19.

Kalonzo says he senses danger ahead if the country slips back to “business as usual situation“ amid the COVID 19 pandemic.

The Wiper Leader spoke while receiving more food and non-food items to the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundations KMF FOOD BUSKET program, from BF Suma, a Health Products Company and Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya, the Chairman, Diaspora Council of Kenya (NADICOK) adding that the pandemic has ravaged World economies but serious caution must prevail while considering re-opening.

“I know the President will be talking to the Country I think about the sixth …in the next two to three days or thereabouts, I would want to urge him to really receive all the expert advice because Kenyans are not sure whether we should just go back to business as usual, “ said Kalonzo

He warns that there is a feeling of great tragedy ahead with this COVID 19 issue that we cannot just say let’s get on with it.

Kalonzo says Kenyans should stand firm behind their Government during this pandemic urging that together the country will pull through and come out stronger.

BF Suma East Africa Regional Manager Lilian Chan, Health Consultant Mrs Susan Onyancha and Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya, the Chairman, Diaspora Council of Kenya (NADICOK) congratulated Hon Kalonzo for the initiative to complement the Governments efforts to feed Kenyans whose lives have been crushed by this Pandemic.

They pledged to continue co-operating with the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF) in their charity efforts.
