COVID-19 cases in kenya now hit 5384

The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 5384 after 178 people tested positive for the virus from 3918 samples.

Nairobi leads with 100 cases while Mombasa has been identified as the county with the highest attack rate.

According to Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi, the ministry discharged 34 patients from various facilities bringing the total number of recoveries to 1857.

The death toll arising from the virus now stands at 132 after two were confirmed to have died.
