Report ranks police as leading human rights abusers

A report by the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights has ranked police as the leading in abusing the rights of citizens in the country.

The commission noted that most atrocities against Kenyans were committed during the COVID-19 pandemic adding that 10 people have so far lost their lives in the hands of police since the pandemic started in March this year.

KNCHR boss Dr. Bernard Mogesa said many others have sustained injuries saying these people have not been able justice because courts are not functional at the moment.
