606 more test positive for COVID-19

The number of COVID_19 cases in Kenya on Tuesday rose to 18581 after 606 more people tested positive for the disease.

Speaking in Nairobi, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said the latest cases were confirmed after 4888 samples were tested over 48 hours.

He added that Kenya has now tested 284,500 samples so far since the disease was first confirmed in the country.

Of the new cases, 583 are Kenyans while 23 are foreigners. 409 are males and 197 females between 4 months to 85 years old.

Nairobi remains the county with leading new cases at 448, followed by Kiambu (54), Kajiado (25), Machakos (16), Uasin Gishu (11), Nakuru (11), Kericho (9), Busia (7), Mombasa (7), Garissa (6), Bomet (3), Nyeri (2), Narok (1), Nandi (1), Embu (1), Lamu (1), Murang’a (1).
