COVID-19 cases in now at 17975

Cases of Coronavirus in Kenya has risen to 17975 after 440 more people tested positive for the disease.

On Monday, the Ministry of Health further announced that from the new cases, 437 are Kenyans while three are foreigners, with 286 males and 154 females.

Baringo County joined the list of counties with the disease after 5 cases were recorded while Nairobi continues to lead in the number of new infections with 326 cases followed by Machakos with 32 confirmed cases.

Other counties with coronavirus cases are Kajiado (17), Kiambu (17), Uasin Gishu (13), Mombasa (10), Murang’a (5), Baringo (5), Kilifi (2), Busia (2), Wajir (2), Nandi (2), Nyeri (1), Embu (1), Taita-Taveta (1) and Tharaka-Nithi (1).

The Ministry also announced that five more patients have succumbed to the disease, bringing the number of fatalities recorded in the country to 285.
