Deputy President William Ruto has exuded confidence in trouncing his opponents in next year’s general election despite their attempts to gang up against him.
Ruto says their new-found unity One Kenya Alliance bringing together his political rivals ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) and Gideon Moi (Kanu) will not stop his ascension to the Presidency.
Ruto says next year’s general election will have a framed contest of economic empowerment claiming his bottom-up approach is the silver bullet.
The DP while responding to calls for political unity and stability, argued that it can only be meaningful if it is not about leaders sharing power.
Speaking at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Dagoretti North where he attended a church service, Ruto said stability and unity of a nation are built on a platform where every citizen can be the best that they can be.
He reiterated that the country’s priority should not be how some leaders plan to share power after elections, but how an economic revolution can be created to enable the people to create more jobs and opportunities.
