New deal to offer KQ passengers limousine connectivity in Europe

Kenya Airways has entered a unilateral inter-modal interline agreement with one of the fastest growing multi-modal mobility platforms in Europe Vipper.com.

This agreement will provide passengers with onward limousine and train connectivity to various European destinations through the airline’s gateways of Amsterdam, Paris, London, and Rome.

Through this partnership, customers will be able to enjoy a seamless experience through Kenya Airways and Vipper’s networks including, Deutsche Bahn, Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français (SNCF), and Société nationale des chemins de fer belges (SNCB). All VG and KQ segments are now bookable in Amadeus.

Julius Thairu, Ag. Chief Commercial & Customer Officer at Kenya Airways said, “The global crisis has highlighted the critical role partnerships will play in the sustainability of our airline.

With Europe serving as one of Africa’s key source markets for tourism travel, our partnership with Vipper extends our product offering to our customers, making it simpler for them to connect between the two continents while boosting the sector.

This service will provide access for customers in cities and towns that might not have airports but have train stations.”

Emanuel Ponzo Dieu, CEO at Vipper.com has said, “We are very proud to partner with the leading carrier of Africa, Kenya Airways.

This first step allows us to introduce our mobility platform to the African continent with the aim to bridge the connectivity gaps between the two continents.

In the long term we aspire to provide passengers in Europe and Africa a seamless travel experience through air plus surface modalities, whilst adding more destinations to Kenya Airways route network’.

Under this partnership, travellers will be able to make onward travel to towns and cities in European destinations, including the Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, Prague, Czech Republic, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Italy, and Turkey.

Kenya Airways resumed its convenient flights between its hub in Nairobi to Amsterdam, Paris, and London. Passengers travelling from Europe to Nairobi can conveniently connect to multiple destinations throughout Africa on Kenya Airways, including South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Senegal and Zambia.

They can also quickly transfer via Kenya Airways and our codeshare partners to Kenya’s world famous tourist destinations, including Mombasa, Maasai Mara, Mount Kenya and Kisumu.
