Politician and former Changamwe Member of Parliament Kennedy Kiliku is dead.
Mr Kiliku passed on as he was being rushed to hospital after developing breathing a problem and complaining of chest pains.
He was rushed to Mombasa Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The veteran politician was also a trade unionist until 2008 where he was the secretary general of the giant Dock Workers Union.
At the time of his death, Mr Kiliku was chairman of the National Labour Party of Kenya (NLP).
Kiliku was the MP for Changamwe constituency for three consecutive terms (1983-1992) before being ousted by Ramadhan Kajembe in 1997.
He leaves behind five children and a grandson.
