FKF releases guidelines for the third tier

Football Kenya Federation has released the  guidelines for the third tier  FKF Division One League. The federation has urged all the teams intending to participate in the league to ensure full compliance of the guidelines.

FKF has requires  the teams to pay participation fees and players registration fees. Each club is expected to submit a list of 30 players by Friday 17’th February 2017.

According to a letter signed by FKF CEO Robert Muthomi and sent to the club Secretaries and Chairmen, each participating club is required to pay a total of ksh 39,000/=(thirty nine thousand shillings) to the Federation’s Bank Account


‘’Reference is made to the above mentioned subject confirming that your club will be taking part in the National Division One League for the upcoming season 2017.

Clubs will need to affiliate to Football Kenya Federation by registering players and paying the fees indicated below.

  • Participation fees for 2017- ksh 30,000/=
  • Players registration fess - ksh    9,000/=

Payment should be done to the Federation’s Account Number’’ read part of the letter.


While  teams are busy preparing for the season, the Fkf Division One League kick off is yet to be confirmed  as Football Kenya Federation and Kenya Premier League Company  are locked up in the stalemate over the composition of the top tier Kenya Premier League.
