Nkaisserry meets with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and Governor Cheboi to discuss security in Baringo County


Interior Cabinet Secretary Maj-Gen (Rtd) Joseph Nkaisserry today held a meeting with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi to discuss security and drought issues in Baringo County. The meeting took place at the Cabinet Secretary’s Harambee House office.


During the meeting, the CS updated the two leaders on the measures the government had put in place to deal with cattle rustling in Baringo and neighbouring counties.

The two Baringo leaders pledged to work with leaders from neighbouring counties of Turkana, Laikipia, Samburu and West Pokot to ensure that peace prevailed in the region before, during and after the general elections.

CS Nkaisserry will make a tour of Baringo County next week to review the security on the ground and meet with the County Security and Intelligence Committee members.
