39 players called to the Kenya National Women team’s Under 20 trials

Eight(8) lady players from Coast are among the pool of 39 players who have been called to the Kenya National Women team’s Under 20 trials scheduled for Eldoret as from Monday April 17’th, 2017 .

The trials are part of the  preparation for international friendly match against Jordan.

The eight selected players from Coast include the most promising youngster(girls) at the SOYA 2016 Gala whowon the most promising youngster [girls] at the SOYA 2016 GalaMwanahalima’’Dogo’’adams from Mombasa Olympic.

Others are Regina Shehe, Elizabeth Katungwa, Karisa Valary, Winfred Achieng, Linda Adhiambo, Nuru Hadima Mustafa,Amina Randu all from St.Johns Kaloleni.

According to sources close to the federation, this is phase one of the trials and during the second phase of the trials the selections will target  school games.

‘’ We shall have more avenues from which to select the beast talet for the national  women team and school games is one of such avenues. The under 20 team is the  team that will represent Kenya in future international assingment’’ said Dorine Nabwire

Jordan is placed  52nd in the latest FIFA Rankings while knya are placed at position 78.
