Uhuru and Ruto Hold Major Rally in Eldoret
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta held a joint political rally with Eldoret North MP William Ruto days after the International Criminal Court confirmed charges against them.
Uhuru arrived to Eldoret in a convoy that brought the town to a standstill as it snaked through the town to the famous 64 stadium.
The rally at the home turf of William Ruto saw thousands of people come out enmass to listen to the presidential hopefuls facing crimes against humanity charges at The Hague.
This is the beginning of the planed rallies by the two leaders across the country as they look forward to reviving there bid to capture the presidency.
The rally was attended by more than 60 MPs and several councilors allied to their parties.
Accompanying them was the Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka , who is a member of the G7 alliance.
It was the first time that Kenyatta and Ruto appeared in public since ICC judges indicted them on Monday alongside radio journalist Joshua Sang and Francis Muthaura.
