National Cereals and Produce Board ( PB) purchased 1,783,809 bags of white maize valued at Ksh 4,080,056,700 for the Country's Strategic Grain Reserves from all over the country during 2009/ 10 fiancial year
The Board has LIp l date paid out Kc 3,685 355,3951'or the deli eries, which includes 720 million that was released within the last two weeks. The last batch of this amount; i.e., Kes 300 milli n was released yesterday. The Board owes fanners in various palis of the country a balance 01 only Kes 394 million, which will be released early next week.
