Police reports have revealed that the gang of three who made away with Kshs 54 Million form Eastleigh Barclays
Bank Branch is suspected to be an inside job.
Five people including three of the bank’s staff have been arrested in connection with the Sunday robbery which police said was the biggest bank heist so far.
The five include the deputy bank supervisor, two staff members and two security guards who were on duty when the incident took place at around 4.30 pm
The Bank is among the few which operate on Sundays due to the booming business in Eastleigh. The stolen money is
said to be the Saturday’s collections amounting to Kshs. 34.6 Million and Sunday’s collections said to be
Kshs. 19.7 Million.
