Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has hailed the existing cordial relationship between Kenya and Japan terming it historical.
Mr. Musyoka thanked the government of Japan for her continued assistance to Kenya particularly during times of need such as droughts and disasters.
He particularly cited the assistance extended to Kenya during the recent famine through relief food donations and seeds for planting upon the onset of rains.
The Vice President was speaking at his Jogoo House Office when he received the outgoing Japanese Ambassador, Shigeo IWATANI who paid him a courtesy call.
Mr. Musyoka urged Japanes investors to take advantage of the many business opportunities available in Kenya to invest and benefit from the county’s strategic position in the region.
On his part IWATANI thanked the government of Kenya for its support to him while on his tour of duty in the country.
The envoy assured that Japan will continue to collaborate with Kenya in various spheres for the benefit of the two countries.
