The United Democratic Forum (UDF) has dismissed the G7 alliance terming it as an ‘unsustainable grouping’ composed of seasoned politicians protecting their personal interests and are not ready to champion national interests.
Speaking at a Nairobi hotel, party leaders; Laikipia West Mp Nderitu Muriithi, Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni and Kabando wa Kabando for Mukurweini Constituency, said that the G7 members have been in politics for many decades but have done little to increase job opportunities for the many unemployed talents.
“They have come together for other interests. They have been in power for quite long and I don’t see anything new coming from them this time round”, observed Kabando wa Kabando.
According to Kabando, most leaders in the current parliament were out to divide Kenyans on tribal lines for personal interests.
“I am happy Kenyans are now empowered and that most of these politicians who think they would mislead them are in for a big shock”, said the MP, adding, “G7 was a grouping of individuals who have stayed in politics for many decades and are not ready to accept the reality that Kenyans will vote for focused leaders.”
On his part, Kioni cautioned Kenyans against outfits formed and owned by the rich out to perpetuate their self-interests.
“Some parties are formed on tribal basis and dominated by some strong men and women to the exclusion of other Kenyans”, said the Ndaragua Mp, who challenged Kenyans to join UDF and work together on issues that concern the country.
UDF boosts of equal representatives across the country.
Kioni said that the party was committed to transformative leadership, prosperity and eradication of poverty.
“Its time we stopped sycophancy and start working together as a nation, irrespective of the tribe, and broke the stereotypes for a better tomorrow”, insisted Muriithi.
The Mp said his team will continue to work closely with like minded people to ensure that the country gets a visionary leader.
