Sotik All Stars to represent Rift Valley in National girls league

The famous Sotik All Stars will be the only representative of Rift Valley province in the inaugural girls soccer league launched on Wednesday.

The team’s patron Mike Korir is confident that the team which was formed after the momentous Kass Football tournament in 2007 will post good results in the league.

Speaking to Kass FM International Sports, Korir said he is certain that some of the girls from the Sotik All Stars team will make it to the national girl’s team dubbed Harambee Queens.

Korir however pleaded to well wishers and sponsors to come to the aid of the team in that they lack finances which would help beef up training and better the maintenance of team.

Korir urged girls in the province not only to rely on athletics which has had competition in the recent days but advices them to plunge into the world of  soccer citing that there would mini leagues in the coming days across the country that would see two teams from Rift Valley promoted to the national league.

Sotik All Stars camps at Sotik town and has 60 players.
