Drogba Steers Ivory Coast to a slim win over Sudan

Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba steered his team to a good start Sunday edging out Sudan with a lone goal. Sudan, who is ranked low at 102nd sport by FIFA, however put on a brave fight, holding the star studded Ivorian team in a tense match. Angola on their part beat Burkina Faso 2-1 with former Manchester United striker Manucho grabbing the winning goal. Zambia beat fancied Senegal while newcomers Equatorial Guinea lost to Libya in their first march in the competition
