Despite claims Rooney still travels with England's team to Switzerland for qualifier.
Striker Wayne Rooney has flown out with the England squad for their Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland amid allegations about his private life.
As the Football Association confirmed, Rooney has made the trip with the rest of the squad for Tuesday's Group C tie.
However, England coach Fabio Capello will have to decide if Rooney is in the right frame of mind to play.
The News of the World and the Sunday Mirror broke the story and Rooney also dominates Monday's tabloid newspapers.
He had played a starring role in England's 4-0 win over Bulgaria at Wembley on Friday after his disappointing displays during the dismal World Cup campaign this summer.
His England team-mate James Milner said the 24-year-old Rooney was a top professional who would be concentrating on matters on the pitch.
The Manchester City star stated: "He's a top player, he showed it on Friday and trained fully [on Sunday].
"I'm sure he'll continue to do that. Things are always said in the newspapers. It is part and parcel of football and down to us to make sure the only thing that matters is what happens on the pitch.
"We're here to win a football match and we trained as a squad."
He said it was important the team were not affected by personal matters adding: "You have highs, you have lows, and it's down to us to make sure the only thing that matters is on the field, come together and make sure we get the result."
Manchester United's Rooney ended a five-month goal drought in his club's 3-0 Premier League win over West Ham last week.
