Toyota Kenya launches hthe new Yamaha Crux Rev Bike

Monday June 19th 2017 – Toyota Kenya today launched the new Crux Rev bike in Nakuru. Today‘s event marks a new era for Toyota Kenya, in their quest to deliver market specific products well suited for Kenya and the wider African continent.

In response to market and customer needs, the new bike is more fuel efficient at 70km per liter. A reduction in fuel consumption by 20%.

During the production and reengineering of the Yamaha Crux into the new Yamaha Crux Rev customer needs and concerns were front and centre to enable the engineers create a user friendly bike.

Yamaha is aware of the challenges facing customers, including the rough and roughed terrain within which they operate. To this end Yamaha has not only invested in boosting the suspension and comfort the new Crux Rev but also increases its ground clearance to enable both Boda Boda and Courier service providers operate in the most roughed terrain and reach remote areas.

In continued efforts to promote road safety, the new Bike comes with added measures to ensure safety beyond the two free helmets and reflector jackets. The diamond frame chassis makes for a more stable bike in turn making it safer. “In addition to the bike features, in December last year Yamaha rolled out rider safety training under the Yamaha Riding Academy in partnership with the Kenya Police Service, NTSA and Boda Boda Saccos an program we intend to continue this year”, Said Augustine Juma, General manager Yamaha.

Yamaha Kenya will also extend free clinics and undertake additional training for mechanics and riders on the maintenance and servicing of the bikes. “Through this initiatives we at Toyota Kenya hope to continue supporting our customers in not only getting training and capacity building but also access to financial support services such as asset financing and insurance”.
