KCB women volleyball team were in high spirits as they gauged their level of play with two friendlies this week.
The team clashed with Kenya Prisons and Kenya U-23 teams at Kasarani Gymnasium. In the new format of play the bankers managed to win 3 out seven sets with the U 23 while the match with Kenya Prison ended 2-1.
The bankers have been in intense training especially on blocks, reception, attacks and settingssetting.
KCB Head coach Vernon Khayinga who will be the assistant coach for the U23 team that departs for World Championship says the team has learnt vital lessons from the three games . KCB’s Doreen Marani is part of the national squad.
The squad will be under David Kinga while i am away, i believe they can win the remaining two matches ahead of the playoffs”
The Bankers meanwhile will be relying on Milgren Lutuvula and Phosca Kasisi when they head to Makueni for the next Kenya Volleyball Federation outing . The squad will play two league matches as well as the Makueni tournament.
