May 13, 2019… Nic bank has today donated workshop machinery to Kamukunji Traders Association as part of their business support following the fire tragedy in January this year. The machinery which cost around 1 million, consist of digital welding machines that will ensure efficiency, low power consumption and safety for the users.
Speaking during the Handover, NIC head of SME, Stephen Gakuya said” Today we are here to donate wielding machines to our customers in Kamukunji as part of our financial empowerment to our SMEs to ensure their well-equipped to return to full productivity and continue to create jobs for our youths and also be able to provide for their families.”
Kamukunji Juakali association chairman Eliud Mbiu, expressed the trader’s gratitude for the donation by NIC bank for ensuring that they remain in business despite the loss following the fire tragedy.
During the event, NIC also assured the traders for their support through tailored loans to grow their business.
