Fuel prices up for the fourth time since May

Motorists will for the fourth time dig deeper into their pockets after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced an increase in the price of fuel in the recent adjustment.

The price of petrol will now retail at Sh105.28, while diesel will record its first drop since May to sell at Sh94.51 per liter. Kerosine will also see a drop in price to retail at Sh. 83.15 a liter in Nairobi.

The slight increase is attributed to the increased stability in the international crude oil prices.

Both motor fuels have been experiencing huge jumps in pump prices with diesel having increased by its largest margin in May as COVID-led fluctuations affected demand and producers agreed to cut supply.
